Day 1 – Independent arrival to Palermo. Orientation talk with an English speaking assistant who will deliver your car and will give you the vouchers regarding all your booked services and explain the suggested itineraries. Day 2 – Breakfast at the hotel. You could spend this day visiting Palermo, famous for its Arab-Norman and baroque itineraries, Monreale, with its beautiful Norman cathedral and panoramic garden, Montepellegrino and its sanctuary dedicated to Palermo’s patron saint Rosalia, and Mondello with its wonderful sandy beach. Overnight stay at Hotel Elite***Palermo or similar; 50 km ca.
Day 3 – Breakfast at the hotel. You could spend this day visiting the Trapani’s area: the Elymian archeological site of Segesta; the charming medieval town of Erice; the town of Trapani famous for its port, its coral museum and its salt pans; Marsala and its wineries. Overnight stay at Hotel Elite***Palermo or similar; 200 km ca.
Day 4 – Breakfast at the hotel. You could spend this day visiting Selinunte the widest Greek archeological site all over Europe (temples and acropolis overlooking the sea in front of Africa) and continuing to Agrigento, where the famous UNESCO HERITAGE Valley of the Temples stands. Overnight stay at Hotel Elite***Palermo or similar; 300 km ca.
Day 5 – Breakfast at the hotel. You could spend this day visiting the “Roman Villa of the Casale” in Piazza Armerina(Enna), masterpiece of the roman mosaic art, which is also a UNESCO HERITAGE or Caltagirone, considered to be the capital town of Sicilian ceramic art. Overnight stay at Hotel elite***Palermo or similar; 400 km ca.
Day 6 – Breakfast at the hotel. You could spend this day with an excursion on Mount Etna (the highest active volcano all over Europe), visiting the baroque town of Catania and of course visiting Taormina(the most famous Sicilian tourist resort. Overnight stay at Hotel Elite***Palermo or similar; 500 km ca.
Day 7 – Breakfast at the hotel. You could spend this day driving along the eastern and northern coasts of Sicily, from where you can admire wonderful panoramas on the Aeolian Islands. Suggested stops at Messina (remember that the famous astronomical clock of the cathedral’s bell-tower, a work of the Strasbourg firm of Ungerer of 1933, starts playing at noon!)and Cefalù (medieval town on the seaside famous for its Norman cathedral, its medieval wash-house and historical center). Day 8 – Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from airport Palermo ( leaving car at the airport office ). End of our services; 80 km ca.
